Default R-1 Racing's new "Signature" forged wheel

This is the RS-4. Custom fitted for the Z, about $1100 per wheel. Available in 19-20" sizes.

Yeah....kinda pricey......might look good on the Z, though.

I'm not familiar with their quality, but a lot of their less expensive wheels seem to be blatant rip-offs of other designs by Volk, etc.

You said it. It may be a good looking wheel but if I'm gonna spend that much on a wheel I'm gonna spend it on HREs or Kinesis, not some company that is known for their knockoffs and cheapo cast wheels.
Geez I feel bad for them. They will be lucky to sell a set!

Check out this link. It shows the other two overpriced "signature" wheels, plus all the cheap rip offs of other wheels.

Hmmm.. they call it package one. I wonder if that price includes the tire as well.

THIS IS A 3 PIECE FORGED WHEEL TRIPLE CHROME PLATED

Why forge a wheel, then weigh it down with chrome ?

are the r1 wheels any good. what doesn't make sense to me is having some wheels at 800 / wheel then some that are 250 / wheel?

can someone explain that to me? i know the other wheels are forged but still. do r1 wheels suck?
