Default New Wheels for my Nismo..

Advice needed on wheel sizes for my Nismo..
All 18"s or keep the stock 19" - 18" setup? Any performance/handling benefits going with 18" all around?..

Thanks in advance.

If you're after performance handling:

Thanks for floating over the link..Yeah I saw that..before..Not sure if he has done any suspension work. Im not going to do anything to the suspension. I really just want to know if going all 18" has any pluses or minuses from the the stock setup.

Keep as is...
I'm sure Nissan's engineers put quite a bit of thought on why they choose this set up.
If you are going just for looks,I'd go with 19's all around.

Not going for just looks. Purpose for new rims is three fold..

1. To keep the stock Nismo wheels mint..(the dealer already dinged them up a
bit taking the wheels off to inspect the brakes. Its like they went in with the impact wrench by feel rather than lining up the socket with the lug nut.

2. To just changed the look a bit.

3. Side benefit going with all 18 is cost, and if I ever wanted/needed to sell them it might be easier than selling two 18 and two 19.. but maybe not.

whats your budget? Try Enkei RPF1's as a cheaper alternative and OAKOS has them in gunmetal too.

I just went through this same thought process--I was looking for more of a track wheel set up and almost went with 18's all around but in the end I decided I wanted the ability to swap my all my tires on and off either the rays or my new set so I stuck with the 18/19 setup. I'm putting on my flame suit now as I went with TSW Interlagos (these are rotary forged and in the 20ish lb range) 18x9 +32 and 19x9.5 +41. I put RE11's 265/40 up front and 285/35 in the rear. With this setup the front tire is really close to the support that comes up from the knuckle (not sure what exactly it's called). Ideally I think a 2.5mm (front) and 15mm (back) wheel spacer would make this fitment just about flush. But as is it worked well at the track today. Not sure if I'll go the wheel spacer route but if I do I'll be going with custom length ARP studs--3" studs are just too long.

In the end you'll need to decide if going with a less expensive and little less weight of an 18" wheel/tire in the rear as opposed to the 19 setup is worth it to you--I opted for the flexibility after spending way to much time over analyzing all the options and driving dkmura crazy.
