Default What spec wheels do I need to clear Brembo 6pot BBK?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to help my friend out, who is an older gentleman so he doesnt frequent...well...the internet at all, to find wheels that will clear his brembo 6pot BBK.

I have no idea what kit he has, but I do know he needs to buy wheels/tires asap since he needs to drive the car about an hour to get tuned and he can't do that now since he's on R6s. He could, but its a waste of precious rubber to drive 80 miles each way.

Looking for something used, doesn't have to be a set of volks, just something that will clear the brakes.

I tried searching, but it will probably take days before I can find something useful. Please don't flame

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I assume its something like this:

I'm trying to hold myself back from flaming.

The Brembo BBK is paired with a 14in rotor. I would suggest he buy 18 or 19 inch wheels. Definitely wont fit 17's

Wheel/spoke design will play a huge roll in whether they will clear as well. I would not bank on something clearing by specs alone.

Thanks for not flaming, saves us all some time. He probably would want to go 18 since he's probably looking to keep the cost down. The race wheels are Volk RE30s I believe.

I was looking for someone to give me a ballpark size/offset. I know it has a lot to do with design as well, but the thing is I have a 370z, so I don't know a whole lot of specifics about the 350.

Would a set of 18" RPF1 fit? in what offset?

And actually he just told me his cap for wheels with tires is $800. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Would a set of stock 370z Sport 19's fit without issues?

The only way of knowing is getting a brake caliper template and testing it on the wheels, unless another member on here can chime in with the same setup.

I have the stoptech 6/4 355mm kit, and my oem 5 spoke wheels clear them. I had 18x10.5 +15 rfp1s all around, and they cleared them as well.

OEM 5 spoke sounds enticing as I'm sure I can find some cheap ones. Will look on the board! Thanks a lot for the help guys. I wish there was someone in the Miami area who would be so kind as to let me try one on. Anyone know?
