Default Michelin tires run true size?

hi, i'm looking at these used michelin tires but they are 235, not 225. But i really need 225 for fitment.
Do Michelin ps2, and Michelin pilot super sport cup run small or true size?
thanks

I believe Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s and Michelin Pilot Super Sports actually run wide.

We have not seen any come in smaller or larger than what the actual size states.

I ran PS2s once and I remember them being on the smaller/thinner side. FloridaZ33 had them on his purple TE37s, I think he had 255/35 285/35 on 9.5/10.5" wide wheels. Check out his build thread.

Just curious... Why do you say "But i really need 225 for fitment."?

235's with the correct profile will fit. I'm running 245's on my front stock (8") wheels.

Agree, 235 should fit with the right profile. You can try one of the online tire sites and use their search by vehicle function to get a good idea on those tires and see if they will fit. TireTeam.com is one of them.

thanks guys,
my tires are pretty close to the fender, so having wider tires would have contact with the fender.

^^ You do not have wide tires. In fact and for the Z, you could consider these tires as moderate width.

If you are close to rubbing with these tires, you either have a crazy offset on your wheels (not likely) or spacers (again not likely with 255 mm tires).

Something is not right here. We need more details to provide good help.

What is the wheels' offset (front and rear)?

All tires runs slightly different sizes. Example - the first set of PS2s i had on the rear of my Z never rubbed. The second set rubbed on big dips and bumps - bad enough to the point where I had to roll the rear fenders.

Interesting... What sizes tires, and what size wheels and offset?

If I remember correctly, at some point you had 22mm offset on the rear with275's (I may be wrong).

On a side note, go for Pilot Super Sports if they come in your size. Otherwise, PS2 would be the way to go in the Michelin line (as a second choice, PSS is a major improvement).
