Default Different height front and rear?

I have done some searching and people run this setup but just want to check. I am buying some Federal 595 RS-R for my Z. I have read they run wide so I don't wanna go 245 front 265 rear, which was my original plan with Hankook's. My only option is a 235/40-18 front with a 255/35-18 rear. Lots of Z and G guys run this setup but my Dad read on a BMW forum for his M3 that it could cause problems with the ABS and he was concerned. We are both trying to get our cars ready for a track day together at Willow Springs. My car is a base model so I don't have VDC. Thank for any input.

Your front tires will be almost 5mm taller than your rears but since you don't have VDC, I guess it doesn't matter. It will look funny to have all that wheel gap in the rear, if that sort of thing concerns you.

It says they are. A guy in a Miata recommended them to me and he has been doing track days for years. His miata is not even street legal.

I was skeptical too. I have Hankook V12's now. Wanted the RS-3.....but for the price I will take a chance on these.

is it really 5mm? I thought it was a percentage of the height and width. I might just go with the wider 245/35-18 and 265/35-18 to keep the height the same. Just hope there not too wide for my stocks 07 rims.

Stock 07 wheels I would run 245/40 front and 255/40 or 265/40 rear.

I want to but they dont have a 255/40.....only a 265/40 but I think it may be too wide because I have read the 595 RS-R tend to run wide.

Runs wide by 2 or 3mm , who freaking cares. It's not like your running 315's or 325's where you are very close to the limit.
