Default Need wheel & tire help - Agressive Look

What tire size do you think would look best on my these wheels?
I have an 03 350z - I know there's alot of threads on this but want some opinions, my car is stock suspension but I may be dropping it on eibach sportlines in the future
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...=Car%2FMinivan

I don't want any performance loss, no rubbing.
I'm going for an Aggressive look for the 350z

+1 , they do offer a +15 version, you want that. Then a 10mm rear spacer. Tires, are you looking for the limp wristed stretch look , wide tires or ??????

First,don't cheap out on wheels.
These are cheap.
Second, you'll have to do like 25- 30mm spacers for them to work.
A 9" wheel is just borderline for the FRONT wheel.Sure won't work
for an "aggressive" look in the back.
Save your money and get wheels with proper offsets.

Both of these threads have "aggressive setups"

Fat/wider tires:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...es-thread.html

Stretch tires:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...s-welcome.html

I would start in both of those threads and find what look you're going for

Do you have a realistic budget with tires included?

Well I'm a high school student paying for all this myself, including my car, so I'm trying to build a car I would like and still be able to afford.

Default Thoughts - New Wheels & Tires

I have an 03 Silver 350z, stock suspension and am looking at new wheels and tires
Right now I'm looking at XXR 552, 19x10 in back and 19x8.5 in front, Black Chrome for color
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-522-Wheels-s/1522.htm
How well would they fit and would it look good in your opinion?

I know they are cheaper rims but I'm a high school student doing all my car work my self, I don't have the money for Volks or anything of the like.

The other option could be 18x9.5 all around but I like the look of the 19"s more filling.

Sure, why not.You can always trade up later on.
Yes,these are cheap wheels. But,the offsets look good.
I'd do the fronts 8.5x19 with 15 offset.Rear,10x19 with a 20 offset.
A traditional tire fit for your wheels would be:245/35/19 front,
275/35/19 rear.Don't know what your total budget is.Don't go
too cheap on the tires.I recommend Hankook V-12's if you can spring for
the cash.

specs that jcity gave are good but agree with bmurray. not liking that wheel. xxr has some better styles
if it were me i would hold out for a special that ravspec or another vendor runs on some Work XD9s / Emotion CR Ultimate Kiwami or something like that. might be 18s though but great set of wheels.

I agree.
Stick with stock until you find "the" dream set.
Just do it right the first time when you have the funds.
Plus tires are cheaper on stock sizes.

but if your absolutely set on new wheels/tires.
A limited budget set up I would look into are
Varrstoens in 19x9.5/10.5 +12
Tires would be 19-35-255/285.

The meatier tire will fill the fender gap better since your not planning on doing any suspension work yet.
Plus I like the look of the 255/285's better.

I have TE37's on stock suspension with the above tire set up and I am very pleased with it. Really wish I had +12 offsets though.

Good economical tires would be Hankook V12 or Bridgestone 760 sports.

Hope this helps.
Even if you stick with your XXR's you can still use the tires I mentioned above.
But like I said before, I would stick to stock.

Cheers,
Shyun

Some say enkei rpf1 are played out, but for the price of 1200 new for 18'', it's a hard bargain to beat, good quality, lightweight, reputable brand and definitely better than stock. It holds it value well since it's a popular rim and you can trade up after you get more funds.

In b4 highschool students driving a Z bashing.
Other then that, OP you should wait. I waited two years to get a nice set of wheels. Saved up by working, refunds from college etc... I was 18 when I purchased my car, now I'm 20. Still paying it off tho. :'(

Threads merged

No real reason for another random wheel thread for you OP and there is already a huge thread for XXR to find the 522's:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...ls-thread.html

Spend some time in that thread and there are hundreds of examples of wheels that fit the Z just fine
