Default 8.5 vs 9.75 tire width

So...I bought my Z about 2 months ago. Just graduated HS and wanted to get myself a little reward ;P
So I decided to get new wheels - and due to the fact that my OEM have about half life left. So I thought might as well buy new wheels that I like and sell my OEM after to make whatever money I can back. Now heres the decision.
Either between XXR 527's or XXR 521's

Now my question is to get 8.5 width or 9.75

I work enough to afford tires for the 9.75 width obviously. But I always like to play conservative.

Is it worth the extra $$$ for the wheels and an extra $200 everytime for a new set of tires? in all honesty?
I dont want to cheap out on my car, but again. its my daily and I dont plan on taking it tracking, sliding, or running canyons...at least until my insurance lowers hah.

So here are my options
A) Run 8.5 all around
B) Run 9.5 all around
C) Run offset. 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear.

Lemme hear some input

I reckon you would be a lot happier with the 9.75 all around in the long run (square) or 9.75/8.75 staggered, 8.75 all around is too conservative

If you don't want to cheap out, quit looking at XXR wheels

Sadly I know :/. My FAFSA for school got F'd up and now I have to pay for it myself. I planned to buy enkie mt0+3's arround x-mas. but since I screwed myself...cant do that anymore.

Only reason im doing xxr. is because in the end its gunna cost me $400 for a new set...which Id have to pay even more just to get new tires for OEM. So I said why not
so the enkies are on hold till next xmas

Go with 8.75 up front and 9.75 out back. You'll be glad you got the wider wheels in the back. As mentioned before, the 8.75 in the rear will not look aggressive enough. You could prob go 245/275 or 255/285 in tire widths.

How about saving for quality wheels that you want. Dont settle for less man.

Just saw your tire recommendaton thread. Dont buy wheels if youre planning on cheap tires man. Besides in the size wheels you are looking atyou need ATLEAST 255/275 front and rear.
