Default Just ordered new front tires, opinions?

This is what I have on the rear:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e&autoModClar=

(Ultra High Performance Summer)
Rear: 245/45ZR18
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
Serv. Desc: 96Y

12..15k mileage
This is what I just ordered for my fronts:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e&autoModClar=

(Ultra High Performance Summer)
Front: 225/45ZR18
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
Serv. Desc: 95W
Load Range: XL

Brand new!
The site says I should match all four. How much does that matter?

I'm sure it would make sense for the grip of all four tires to match. Does this even happen when the fronts are thinner than the rears? I tried to find the exact match for the rears, but they were out of stock everywhere this side of Canada. So I went with what you see above.

Also try 245/40-18 for the front, they work great with your rears and give you another size for availablility.

That will be fine but not ideal

I would suggest getting away from the KDW2's anyway since it is such a noisy tire

This would fit on the stock rims? I thought they had to be 225/45-18?

I have those on the rear, and they are fine for now. Replaced only a few years ago (15k miles ago maybe). They are noisy, I agree.

They are close, but do differ quite a bit in performance level and compound. You may have a split personality during aggressive driving and on wet roads. I wouldn't push them too hard until you get a chance to put another pair of Comp-2's on the car. Thanks for the order!

Mixing tires is common. Little point in throwing away money for 4 tires when all you need is 2. You may notice a difference in ride and performance, but you will be just fine.
