Default Does my tire size have any thing to do with the slip light?

Ok so I been driving my 04 350z and I have been reading online that my tires size could be the cause of my slip light here is my size of my tires 245/45R17-R 225/50 ZR17-F
I won't to know if those are my correct size or of does fit my 350z not to sure since people put all types of sizes on a 350z but I want to know from put that has had these size of that could be the problem...The slip light usually comes on when I put the gas all the way in starting from first to second my car doesn't give it's full power cause the light keeps coming out and keeps staying on til am way later but by after 10 seconds of it being on I get tired of going fast cause that slip light...also another is when am driving in the freeway and there's small turn say like am going 45mph and merging into another freeway and if I move the steering wheel a lil to much it well come out...or when I downshift also... If the tire size isn't the problem what else could it be that's causing the slip light...it has 97,879 miles 2004 350z performance edition

Yes. Your tires are almost the same height. Your rear tires need to be a certain percentage taller than your fronts to keep your VDC happy. For instance, stock rear tires are around 9mm taller than the fronts.

Yes, fronts are too tall. They are taller than the rears, that's a no-no.

It goes away at 97,880 miles though, so you'll be all set.

Ok I get what y'all are saying so would it be best if I switch the front to rear and rear to front ? Or would that make no difference or would I have to buy new tires

+1 to what everyone has said, you have some funky size tires OP

No you cannot switch your front tires to the rear, you should just get a set of 245-50-17's or 235-50-17's for the rear and your problem will be solved

Amazing… Obviously the size is all wrong, and all answering here agree… and not one responder insults the OP. This is huge. My350z.com benefits greatly from this behavior.

As members have stated front tires are taller than rear. This throws off the VDC/TCS computer. Computer "thinks" that front and rear tire RPM is jacked-up, and this may activate "slip." Also may put the Z in limp mode: it wont go.
