Default 225/45-18 front and 275/40-18 in rear help a noob out!

Hello all, I've been with the forum for a while but just recently purchased one

I have a 2006 enthusiast with the Anni 18 in rims and I changed my rear tires to 275/40-18

Stock was 245/45-18

My question is will I have to increase the size of my front tire as well ?

I will be purchasing new front tires and I'm sorry if this was asked before but I couldn't find any info on it.

If I keep it at 225/45 will my suspension be any different because they're so much smaller than my rears? And if I should increase width what size is recommended?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post

I heard 235/40/18 is a good setup for the front.

You heard wrong , 245/40 would be the normal. 255/40 preferred but you have narrow wheels, but that didn't stop the OP from mounting the rears

Front, but you don't have a wheel wide enough to run it. You don't even have a wide enough wheel to run a 275 out back.

OK, so what will happen if I run the setup like this for too long?

Most important , the car handles like crap. Then the most important part to 80%+ people on this site , it also looks like crap with the pudged sidewalls.

sorry to jack the thread but I had a quick question for anyone who could help. My grandfather was able to get ahold of 2 brand new bridgstone tires. The size is 245/40/18. I would put those on my rears and keep my front tires that have a size of 225/45/18. Would that combo look ok? Current setu up : Rear 245/45/18 Front 225/45/18 Possible Setup: Rear 245/40/18 Front 225/45/18. Which is better.

Thanks for all your help Terrasmak! So it would be good to keep the rears at 245/45-18 and change the front to 245/40-18? If I changed the front to 245 would it improve traction/handling?
