2004 Nissan 350z Touring stock suspension, stock fenders, I have browsed the Fitment Industries gallery and 350z forums and can't figure it out. My new wheels are multi-piece wheels and I want to order new lips and refinish the faces and get new tires. Currently they are 19x8 +35 (offset is the wheel without spacer) (2.5" lip and 5.5" barrel) in the front using a 25mm spacer to clear the new Akebono calipers I had installed. The rears clear the calipers with no spacer, it is currently 19x9 +35 (3" lip and 6" barrel). Without any modifications, what is the largest lip I can safely put on these wheels without any issues? Can I do 19x9 +35 (3" lip and 6" barrel) with 25mm spacers in the front? Can I fit 19x10.5 (5" lip and 5.5" barrel) in the back (or even wider)? I will need new tires for the wheels after they are relipped/refinished. I was thinking 255/35 up front and 285/35 in back, but I would like to go as wide as possible (within reason). Any advice or assistance is appreciated.

Default another "will it rub" post

New to the forum, glad to be here. Also, new 350Z owner. 2006 base with a DE and 6 speed. Gotta undo all the things that have been done to it and one of the things are the slightly scuffed stock wheels and rubbers. It is obviously staggered now and I want to go square with 18x10's and 275/35's all around. Not really wanting to roll or pull right now, so will this set up be ok on stock suspension? I'm thinking +15 all around. Thanks for any input and I appreciate being allowed to be a member!

Not certain if this thread even gets checked anymore, but I shall give it a go. I presently have an '04 Roadster that's riding on the 18" OEM wheels and an entirely stock suspension. I'm considering the following aftermarket setup:

Front: 18x9.5 +18 wrapped in 255/40-18
Rear: 18x10.5 +22 wrapped in 275/40-18

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be okay....might have to remove upper front fender liner screw....might be close to needing a roll rear

The quick response is appreciated. Was honestly hoping for a "Yup, you're the 1,000+ person to roll with this setup without any issues."

The same wheels are available in 18x9.5 +24 and also a 18x9.5 +32; does that make any difference? If so, would running any of these in a "square" configuration make more sense?

Don't do that. Front is just a screw removal and depends on your camber. 90% sure you will be okay there. Rears about the same percentage you will be okay.

I had 18x9.5+15 in rear with same tire size and I had to roll. If I remember correctly the inch difference will be on inside of tire, your shoulder will be rounded some where mine were squared up. Places rent the fender roller, get what you originally posted, worst case you roll em

I'm not worried about the screw removal all that much.

At this point I'm pretty uncertain about how I am going to move forward. I have a strong preference not to roll the fender, as I'd prefer to purchase wheels in a proper width/offset that would work without any modifications.

Are you able to provide a general "rule of thumb" reference width/offset that will almost certainly work? I'm also open to 8.5 front and 9.5 rear setup as well. It would seem that wheels with an offset of +25 to +28 range make more sense, although I could be completely missing the mark.

Why are you against rolling fenders?

I suppose that it is a combination of a fear of the unknown (never had it done before), the additional challenge of then locating a local, respectable shop to perform the work, as well as then worrying about potential damage to what is presently a fairly pristine car. Fender rolling does seem to definitely have its benefits, so it isn't all bad news.

And you are exactly right; it is arguably most proper to just stick with the OEM wheels and OEM tire sizes. Well, it certainly would be much easier. Given the amount of info on this forum alone, I find it a bit surprising that I am not coming across more examples of off-the-shelf, tried-and-true solutions for aftermarket wheel/tire setups. Then again, that might be the result of my poor research skills.

IMO, these cars frequently look fantastic with aftermarket wheels, so I'll keep digging a bit more.

FWIW, I do appreciate the discourse.

@travlee I posted a response to your inquiries, but for some reason when I submitted the reply, it stated it needed "moderator review." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I found a post of yours in another thread and you stated, "do 18x9.5 +20 on all corners...... trust me" Do you still maintain this position? If so, then I have great news (for me), as I found a set of wheels I really like in this precise size. As an added bonus, found another forum member that also has this setup (presumably meaning it is proven to work).

Thoughts?

I can't argue that; it would be super easy to just roll with OEM stock and call it a day. However, you made this statement at one time: "do 18x9.5 +20 on all corners...... trust me"

Still feel the same way? I've found a set of wheels in that size that I really like, so just might pull the trigger.

Thanks for the input. I'll have a look to see what's available.

Hey y'all,

I was running Forgestar F14s in 19x9.5 +15 and 19x11 +15 wrapped in 265/35/19 and 295/30/19, respectively. Front fenders are rolled, but rears are not, and with this setup, I only slightly rubbed in the rear on heavy dips at full compression.

Unfortunately, one front wheel is broken beyond repair. I'm looking at a set of two front wheels (same F14s), same 19x9.5 size but with a +0 offset. Being currently at stock ride height, will these fit in front with the 265/35/19 size?
If not, would it be possible to run 255/35/19 front, and 295/30/19 rear (until I can swap to a 285/35/19 rear) without pissing TCS off?

Also eventually planning to lower a maximum of .75 inches; would this setup fit after naturally induced camber?

Any input is highly appreciated, thanks.

the 255 front would be a much smarter tire , it will work but the TCSwill not be happy. Just tu4nitoff daily till you are ready for a 285/35-19
