Default Wheel/Tire Advice Needed

Hi, I'm new to the 350Z scene and was wondering if I could get some suggestions on wheel/tire combinations to use on my Z.

For wheel diameter, I'd like to match the style and size of the 18" Volk Racing TE37SL's but I don't want to spend $800+ for each wheel. If it's possible I'd like to have wider tires on the back of the car than on the front.

I'd like to spend at max $1200-1400 on a wheels/tires combo, but I'd rather stick to under my budget if possible.

Thank you in advance for all of your help!

$1200 can get you a nice set of wheels. Maybe modding a civic is closer to your budget?

Picked up my brand new set of Enkei RPF1's for $1440. 18x9.5 and 18.10.5. Pretty good value wheel IMO

EDIT: oops I see your budget was including tires. Yeah just look for a used set, shouldn't be hard to find what you're looking for on this forum's marketplace

It would be $800+ or so just for a pretty nice set of tires.

I appreciate all of the feedback, guys. I just acquired prospect status of a car crew in St. Louis and we're sponsored by a place called Gateway Powdercoating so I'll probably just pick up a used set of wheels from craiglist, get 'em sand blasted and coated, and then throw on a nice sticky set of tires on 'em.

Also, what is your opinion on Enkei SR6 type wheels?
