Default Wtf: option select "hub centric " spacers

So everyone seems to like the option select spacers so I ordered 2 pairs. I'm in South Africa and use a re shipping service in the USA.

Today they sent me pics of the spacers that arrived. Now tell me if I'm wrong, but these do NOT look hub centric to me. There seems to be some loose ring in the centre of the spacer. I can't tell if that's some kind of loose hub centric ring or if it's a spigot ring to centre the wheel. Either way, hub centric to me means there must be a hub centric ring machined on the spacer itself.

This is what I bought:

This is what I got:

Am I missing something here?

as long as that ring is there, they're hubcentric and will work fine. doesn't matter if its machined into the spacer or not... once everything is tightened down it all works the same way.

I would be more worried that for 60 bucks a comoany is able to manufacturer, list and ship 2 spacers. where are they skimping? 50 bucks in materials and labor so it must be cheap quality.

I did some searching and people complained about the poor quality of ichibas and many people recommended these from the seller Option Select. That's the only reason I bought them, not really cause of the price.

But I want the one piece design. I've never seen this type before.

Anyone experience the spacers z1 Motorsport sells for our cars?

I love my Z1 spacers. Never had an issue, and I autox my car every year also.

Ok I've ordered uh z1 spacers. (Communication pretty slow from them so far I must say)

It here's something interesting. I opened a case with ebay on the option select spacers. Seller agreed to a refund. I'm still out the return shipping and storage costs.

Anyways, option select'a return address was given to me as:

4751 Littlejohn Street Unit A
Baldwin Park CA 91706
United States

Now, I googled them to find a phone number needed for return shipping and stumbled across this:

http://www.ichibausa.com/aboutus.asp

Is ichiba and option select the same company?

so ur returning them just because the ring is separate from the hub? is it really worth to lose out on more money?

It's done. I just don't want to be worrying about my spacers every time I drive. I do a lot of fast highway driving and often top end as well. I never saw spacers with a separate hub centric ring before like these. Was not what I was expecting when I bought them.
