TPMS noob question
So Im new to the Z community, just got mine this weekend and I am looking at wheels. My question is, can you buy a second set of tpms sensors for the new wheels and program those as well doing the manual reset? I dont really want to take the ones out of the Z wheels, Id like to keep those as a backup for whatever. I already read the tpms thread and I didnt see anything in there about having a seperate set. Thanks

Both of my sets have TPMS in them, and I got tired of resetting them each time I switched the wheels so I just left the light on. After a while it doesn't even phase you anymore.
Just remember to check your pressures. I am my own TPMS lol.

get a piece of electrical tape, put it over the light and with the black backing, it'll hardly be noticeable.
Or you can make a TPMS cansiter (pipe bomb), hide it in the car somewhere and just run normal valves.
Google it, it's pretty easy to find.

Does not work for Nissan. Ours are activated from centrifugal motion, they need it to turn on.

If I go down to the tire shop and have them remove the sensors, put the wheels back on my car, drive home, park it, go get the new wheels and put them on the car, will I have to do the reset or will the car recognize the original sensors in the new wheels?
