Different Brands of Tires
Hi
So I have to buy only one new rear tire. I have puncture near the sidewall and the rear tires only have about 10K kms on them.
Question is should I buy another Bridgestone Potenza (Stock) tire or 2 Hankook Evo K110. The tire shop near me will charge me the same price for 1 new Bridgestone or 2 new Hankooks.
Is it bad to have Bridestones in the front and Hankooks in the back?
Any replies appreciated.

At the end of the day if your not tracking your car, and are not trying to squeeze every single ounce of performance from your 350z, then you will be just fine with different brand tires around.

Be warned that every mixed set of tires I have tried were twitchy in the rain. The only way I can explain it is that different corners of the car can pull a little different cornering. It felt similar to putting on directional tires spinning the wrong way. The car kind of fights itself around corners and through standing water. And mine were all with one style in front and another in the rear. One single different tire may be a little less noticeable?
If the identical tire is still available I recommend getting it. You already have started a cycle of uneven tire replacement intervals. At some point you will go to get a full rear set or all four and that last one will be a shame to throw away with a lot more tread on it but you cannot plan around life's little mishaps.
Dry pavement you will be fine but be careful when it gets wet! Depends on tread design but I IMIAGINE it could be anywhere between something noticeable and something a little dangerous. Be careful...

I would get the brand that you plan on eventually changing the fronts with.
Soon after I got my Z, I got a nail in the sidewall of one of my rear tires. Ended up getting talked into buying 2 Potenzas for the rear to match the front. A few months later I needed 2 new fronts, and since I hated the Potenzas I opted to get 4 new BFGoodrich tires. I basically wasted a nice chunk of change getting the 2 Potenzas, and I have actually been trying to sell them here on the forum for a while now with no interest.
