Thanks for all your inputs. I finally bought a set of wheels with tires mounted (no good nstallers close to home). Your advice helped but what also helped was that I found a good price on a set of wheels/tires that were only mounted on a Z for a BF Goodrich dealer show. They are ready to roll, and have less than 100 miles. The seller is close enough that I can pick them up and check them out before I lay down the cash.

Wheels are Privat Fahren, 18/8 front and 18/9 back. I liked the looks of these from the start and that was the main reason for my decision (along with price). Price is for balanced, ready to mount, including lug nuts.

Tires are BF Goodrich g-Force TA KD, 245/40-18 front and 265/40-18 in back. They are supposed to have ferocious dry traction, so-so in the wet, and since I drive mainly nice weather I can live with that.
