I'd say they're real. Never seen a GT-C copy before. If you do get them, make sure they come with lug nuts and caps. Genuine lugnuts (special for use on this wheel - nothing else works) run about $130/set. Ask me how I know....
FWIW - $2200 seems high, even with brand new top line tires. I won't say what I paid for my 19" GT-C's but it wasn't anywhere near that. Just letting you know.

But lawdy, as heavy as these boat anchors are (but for some reason, they feel pretty good on the car), I can't even IMAGINE how heavy the copies must be. Or maybe they're lighter because they're designed with a much lower MTBF. Laff...
Never heard of Maya - but then I don't generally look at reps. On this, I just found this: http://fakewheels.com/2009/02/volk-gt-c-vs-r1-gtr-5/ and a couple of other fakes. Interesting, never looked before. And never will again. Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Only reason i know about them is because they came with the silver z i bought for my girl haha. Keep saying ill switch them out soon, but my keeps taking priority haha
Maya's GR5 version were made by Racing Hart, spokes were more narrow and true 3 piece wheels. You ca't really mistake them for GTCs maybe from far. Volk GTCs are two piece wheels. And Mic is right @ 2,200 it's a bit pricey for GT series. I sold mine for 1,300 with new tires, but this was when the economy took a dump. I'd say a fair price would be $1,600-2,000 depending on variables.

To be fair, thats like saying rotas are knock offs because the spokes are more concaved than that of the te37.
Im not 100% sure if the maya is 3 piece but i know for sure theyre 2 piece at least.
Maya was a Japanese subdivision/sub brand under Racing Hart which was a JDM company making wheels in Japan. Other sub brands by Racing Hart included: Maya, Hatge, Lowenhart, Maido, MAE- all Japanese made wheels. Not nearly in the same budget or category as Rota, made in the... Philippines.
If you have authentic Maya GR5 wheels made by Racing Hart in Japan, then it would be true 3 piece. I know all this since I grew up in Los Angeles in the 90s, owned some Racing Hart Tracers back when a quality wheel could only be 3 piece. Dazzmotorsports was the main US distributor for Racing Hart, was located just around the corner. You can still find some of this info on forums dating way back into the late 90s early 00s.
Anyways, that was my history lesson on JDM wheels in the US. To the OP I hope those weren't the wheels I had, since I had mine GTC professionally taken apart and sprayed all black just like those. lol

Rotors are on backwards. Not that perf is affected but when the "sweep" (like a clock) isn't correct, it bugs me. Welcome to Club OCD.
Interesting story about those wheels being Racing Hart. There's some cred at least.
OK, wasn't going to say how much I paid but if it helps anyone, I paid $650 for my wheels (alone), added $130 for lugs, $13 for caps off Ebay (who cares if I lose or bust one.... at that price, I could keep a couple spare sets around), added Bridgestone S-04s, putting me at a grand total of ~$1600.
Yea, IIRC that's one of our members here from back in the days when people were still trying to figure out which way the vanes go and which offsets/tires worked on this car. 9.5 wide was like "whoa" back in 04. lol

Ahh intersting, i knew they were atleast 2 pice since the rivets were actually real. I didnt know maya was a racinghart sub company. Fron what i read, the wheels tends to be "soft" the barrels to be more specific.
I love racing hart along with rays. But as we all know every company copies one another. In this case maya and vilks gtc. Like the works emotion xd9 is extremely similar to the works ce28.
To bad about racing harts, they were the one of top player in japan, wonder what happened to them. Alwats love alot of their wheels.
Yup, exactly why I mention performance unaffected. But the looks, man, the looks!
One would think (or hope, in my OCD mind) that the mfgr would make it so the vanes go directional with the gas slots. Hahaha. My slotted rotors have a directional stamp on the hat face.

I wont lie, i was guilty of this haha lasted 2 weeks until my ocd bothered me and i swap it back. Good thing i didn't have to rebled the brakes haha
