Default Your opinion on painting Rays

Hey guys, my rays kinda have some scuffs here and there and i want to repair them. Obviously this means i need to paint the wheels. I want to make them white with clearcoat so they shine as well. What are your opinions on that? Would it deatroy the value of the car/wheels?

If you enjoy seeing brake dust white is a good color.

Brake dust is very dependent on the pads you're using. I've got EBC RedStuff pads on my Z, and the wheels never have any dust on them, even this time of year when I don't wash the car.

Back to the wheels - they're yours, so paint them to your preference. Powderccoat is probably a better choice, though, and will be much more durable.

I polished my Rays. Just a thought for another alternative.

Rattle can or professionally painted? Rattle canned paint jobs look like garbage most of the time.

If the wheels are scuffed to hell and look really bad then repainting them is the only sensible option. In general though I'm not a fan of repainted Rays wheels as the original coat is part of the appeal of Rays wheels and it's most likely better quality than whatever aftermarket paint job that they get.
