tpms sensor
Recently I bought a used nissan 350z TPMS sensor and I want to swap into my car also a nissan 350z with a TPMS sensor that has a bad/dead battery. What needs to be done to make this work?

Batteries aren't replaceable in them.
If I misread that and you know the used one is still working then you need to pair the sensor with the car's network. You CAN do it yourself using info found on this site like: https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...ring-tpms.html
But it's easier to just take it to the tire shop - since you have to remove the tire anyhow - and have them pair it for you. They have the equipment to "infiltrate" the network and match the new sensor.
HOWEVER, I have never advised anyone to use a used one because the labor to replace it when (not IF) the used one goes dead in a year or two. They're not that expensive but the labor is when you have to Dismount/Re-mount a tire just to do the sensor. But some stores won't charge you for mounting, building the cost into the sensor pairing.
