Default 350z rims on a heavier car

Hi all.

I'm looking to put some 18X8" 350Z rims - and wanting to run them on an FGX Falcon which is obviously a much heavier car.

Will they be ok with the extra weight?
Also looking to run larger than 245 tyres - hoping for 265's but maybe 265's might be too large? 245's are the norm for 8" rims - anyone put bigger on these rims without issue?

Using them for circuit/track play.

Cheers!

1730kg on file, without me. Not sure if that's with a tank of fuel or not....

I ran my 17" 350Z wheels on a Dodge Caravan a few years ago.

Interesting how the numbers play out … but my GVWR (gross vehicle weight as defined here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gross_..._weight_rating) is 3815lbs which is right at 1730kg coincidently.

It's a judgement call - but if you're vehicle is, all in, is around 1730kg than you're probably ok.

I run 275's on these wheels on the rear. No problem running 265's and no problem with the weight

Thanks for the replies.

Apparently the weight with a full tank of fuel is 1730kg/3800lb. So I guess not that much more than a 350z as some models weigh in at 1630kg/3500lb?
Should be fine I would think.

I'm getting conflicting info that the rims are 18x8 front and 18x9 rear standard - yet the set that I'm looking to buy are all 18x8. Maybe the set I'm looking at are off 2 different cars?
Can anyone confirm if the above stock rims are all 8" wide or are the rears supposed to be 9"?

Cheers!

Wheels are coded for their weight carrying capacity so there should be a marking on the wheel, that's all I know.
