Default bent iforged aero

i bent my rim on a pothole lastnight. Called Wheels America to see if they can fix it but they said they have to see it first. Any experience with them? Anyone fix a bent rim successfully?

No, I used wheeltechnologies.com for my rear aero, and it still had ripples in it afterwards and had to order a new one.

wow..my wheels held up ok so far...but the longer i drive in NY the more chance i have at bending...some potholes are ridiculous

assuming its just a bend and there are no cracks in the wheel they should be able to fix it..
(you should remove the tire and check)

i remember seeing pics of yours...ART..if yours are 3 piece you might as well just buy the outer part..if they arent they will have to unweld the spokes and fix the lip and refinish the lip and reweld the spokes

havabooz,
i have the 2piece, so they would have to unweld it to repair. I think I might just order a new one. How much would it be to repair if I sent it back?

well...who knows what iforged will tell you..they might say that it would be cheaper to just buy a new outer rim...my wheel was sent back JUST to reclearcoat....its been over 3 weeks ..i was told 3 to 4 weeks but im anticipating more...try and get it fixed locally first...

why dont you post some pics so we can give a better opinion

I had a little bend on my rim when I got a flat tire. Wheels america in stanton, ca fixed my wheels for $109.

if you have an older iforged, you will really like the clearcoat quality and finish on the new one. They did a great job on mine.

they have new people do it now (same as HRE and kenisis). The coating is much thicker and looks much more durable.

They also have my wheels, so at least I know I am not the only one.... They have had my wheels for about 3 weeks, I was also told 3-4 weeks, we'll see.

As for the bend, it does not look too bad, should be easy to fix. I have a small curb rash spot (3 inches) on my wheel I am having iForged fix. I hope they fix it, and that the clearcoat is better quality, it was peeling on all 4 wheels.
