The 275's fit fine, no problems at all. i wouldn't go any bigger than that on an 8.5, 275 is definitly the max

Traffic, It wasn't Rayco, it's ABC Powdercoating in Belford on rt. 36. If you go there, let him know that you heard about him through John at Vigg Designs.

kopo, I have 245/40 front, 275/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sports (i ordered 245/45's for the front, but they sent me the 245/40's)

Thanks everyone for the positive responses

Thumbs up

Chadhatesu, saw your wheels at ATCO 2 weeks ago, they look great and I'm thinking about powder coating my TRACK rims too.... BTW, how much are they? and what's the final cost for doing this powder coating on 4 wheels (including old tire removal, new tire mounting/balance, but minus Michelin tires)? Thanks man, and they look so much better than stock....

350z-z33, yeah i think we talked real qiuck while i was in the staging lanes , anyway. The place i went charged me $125 a wheel including clear coat for the powdercoat. So $500 total. i didn't pay for my tires to be mounted and balanced because i did them myself at a friends shop, but most shops will charge $20-$25 a wheel, i think. So figure around $700 total including mounting and balancing (that's $100 dismounting and $100 to remount the tires)

I also had my center caps painted to match, I don't remember if i had them in at Atco that sunday. The shop that powdercoated my wheels happened to have a body shop in the same building, so they did my center caps, no extra charge. They removed the Nissan emblem and put it back on, so it looks factory

Looks great. I am picking up a set of Performance wheels this after noon. I am powdercoating them gunmetal also but for free . Did you have to get them sandblasted before?

No sandblasting, because the factory finish is powdercoat. You can powdercoat over powdercoat, anything else, paint, chrome, etc...would need to be sandblasted first.

Looks good... I'd be worried about stuffing a 275 on an 8.5" rim though...
Why? I've been running my races wheels with 275/40/17 V700's on a 7.5" rim for a couple years now without problems.
