Default Kumho Ecsta ASX (New!)

Saw this tire on the magazine yesterday, did a search... the spec looks pretty good!

I like the high treadware, rated 420. They also have upgraded size: 245/40/18 & 275/40/18.

I think I will try this tire on my next set..

It'll be nice, and last far longer...

Do not expect the performance to be that of the MX.

well you have to figure that the 275 rear will handle better than the stock 235 rear no matter what. That extra width plus the nature of the tire should be better than stock. For most of us looking to upgrade mostly looks and a little bit of performance that comes with it, these should be great. I got Mich. Pilot sports All seasons the other day w/ 400 treadwear rating. Still waiting to install them.

I just ordered a pair last Wednesday!!
I believe they are 255/45/17. I am coupling them with a pair of brand new stock front tires that Nissan just replaced. Hope the combo works well.

How long do you guys think these will last?....my stock rear pair got me 17K.

With 420 treadware, I think it should last at least 20k - 30k. Depends on how you drive..

Let us know how it is... especially in the wet condition..

I ordered 255/45/17....is it possible that 255/50/17 is a better choice. I know that changing the width can change the overall diameter.

Does anyone know the overall diameter for our stock 235/50/17 tires??
I know that The Khumo I ordered is 26.1

Approx Diameter = 2*(235*0.50)/25.4 + 17 = 26.25"

Based on the tread pattern and wear rating, it looks like you're giving up a LOT of performance for that increase in tire life. To each his own, I guess.
