Track Rim Installation Help
I just purchased (4) 04 Z Track Rims and have a quick question before I install all four.
Do I need spacers? I installed the front left so far and it sounds weird when I spin the wheel. Kinda like rubbing of some kind Like metal rubbing. Is that normal? Anyone install track wheels?
And yes before you ask, each wheel is on the correct side, rotational wise, ect.
Thanks for any help. If you could reply asap as I am in my garage on my laptop.
I will be awaiting your replies. Thanks

I'm sorry, no help on track rims, but congrats on your track rims purchase. I have installed aftermarket wheels and have heard no more rubbing than normal. If your brake pads are pushed against the disc too much they can create the sound you're describing. I would take the rim off and spin the hub without the wheel. To see if the sound is still there.

Well I jacked up the other side and spun the OEM 17" and it does the same thing. So disregard that ?
But, one last question, do I need a Spacer, I doubt it though, but it never hurts to check.
Man, I love these new wheels. Will post pics after I get the calipers painted Red.
Thanks Jesse for the quick response.
And thanks to Brian, TD30 who sold me the wheels. Your Nismo's look awesome.
I lost approx 40 lbs, but lost it back in the stereo setup. Oh well.
