Default OMG..worst day of my life!

Coming back from a bar yesterday guess I was still kinda buzzing from the alchohol, I didn't measure the distance i was from a curb then BAM! I sidewalled my rims into the curb and now my front right tire and rim is completely F$cked. Theres a dent on my rims now including curb rash all around. I am pretty depressed about it right now, and I have no idea if this rim can be fixed...I took a pic of the rim with my camera phone this morning. Even with the low resolution you can tell the damage that was done.

Please tell me the rim can be fixed!!

Sorry, I'm the last to preach to anyone...but might want to take this as an expensive lesson not to drink & drive. Not that I or others here haven't made this mistake before -- but it's not excusable. Could've been a lot worse... may have got a DUI, or possibly killed yourself or someone else. So i'd have to say it can't be that bad that you got off with just some expensive damage that'll hopefully teach you something that may save your life (or someone elses) down the line. Wheels can be fixed.

one of life's experiences.....consider how cheap you are getting off as compared to a DUI or accident, plus, you get a new set of wheel out of it!! My friend got a DUI last year and just now finished his classes on drinking problems. This is the guy that makes LOTS of his microbrew!

You gotta pay to play. A DUI here is $10,000.00 for openers. You cross the center line, kill my family, I make a phone call and you evaporate. You over cook the turn at the track and it's 4 flat spotted tires and 2 wheels. Your current problem is minimal, deal with it. scubasteve has it right.

jabroney12,
if this was the WORST day of your life, you must be charmed or really young. at least it was a curb and not a person. then that truly would have been your WORST day.

anyways, glad you are not hurt and have the opportunity to learn a lesson at a relatively low cost.

The curb must have moved all of a sudden.

Seriously, it could have been a pedestrian you hit. Now what, think about that the next time you drink and drive.

I learned this in the Texas Field Sobriety/Intoxilyzer 5000 training.

Statistics show,

"On Average, a person who drinks and then drives, averages out to 80 times (can't remember the exact number, but its pretty high) a year that he drives drunk!

Sooner or later it will catch up to you. Consider your bent wheel an inexpensive lesson learned!
