Default Volks SF Winning or HP Design EVO's ??

Based purely on looks which do you like better?

Trying to choose between the Volks SF Winning and the HP Design EVO's. Both are 19" staggered fit, 8.5 and 9.5. Both rims would be a light silver on the spokes. The Volks are ( 8 ) split spokes with a chrome lip and the HP Design are ( 10 ) split spokes with a brushed finished lip. PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE! I want to buy these soon.

I appreciate your opinions.

I've never seen the HP's before. How much are they? Considering so many on this board have Volks (I have a set of SF's) I'm tempted to say go with the HP's just to be different, even though they look like a bunch of other mesh designs. Nice wheels either way.

SF Winnings. Better looking, more attention to detail, chromey lip looks better and shines brighter.

nice fast responses...i like it.

the HP's are so popular that every major wheel distributor is on back order 3-4 months...yea! go figure the one's i like and want now. i don't know how i found them but one company is willing to sell them to me because he basically bought them all.

www.wheelguys.com

$1200.00

i haven't decided on which ones though...? i'm looking for opinions

i would say the majority of people buy rims and tires for looks vs performance....so being that the hp's are quite a bit cheaper than the volks i wonder just how good their quality is....we all know volks are top notch but they are very pricey too...i need more info on those hp's

zquicksilver...you may want to check out the works vsxx...same style and quality of the volks....they are priced similar to the volks

those are hp lightenings i think, not evo...

but i say, if you've got the budget, go for the volks... you can't go wrong... you'll appreciate the better quality... i would've bought sf challenges if i had the money (importing any rim from the US costs 1500 on top of the rim prices)

i just got a quote for the sf winnings in 18's including tires, mounting, balancing, lugs and center caps shipped to my door....3169...the tires are sumitomo

is that a good price...i am going to get the volks now for sure....forged = lighter = better performance

road warrior

i believe those HP's are two peices at the factory then fused together permanetely as one. so they don't come apart. i'm not to concerned if they way 3-5lbs. more. i'm just after the look at a fair price. those Works vsxx are very nice, but at $2800 for the set it's a little steap for me. i can get the SF's for $2200 from revonline.com

strife 350z,

the HP's are actually coined as both. They are ( HP Design EVO / New Lighting ) i've seen them on numerous sites with that title.

confusing... i know.

road warrior,

that is a good price

i got a quote from revonline.com for Michelin Piolot Sport (a/s) tires and SF 19's staggered for $3550 to my door. including all necessary hardware. those all season h.p. tires run around $1300 not mounted from tirerack. i live in a four season environment though. it's worth the money vs recking my car because of cheap *** tires.

road warrior,

the HP Design rims are exactly the same as the zenetti wheels on the convertible i attached in this thread. the only difference is the bolt pattern has five large holes and 5 very small holes vs 10 similar sized holes found on the zenetti's. and why i'm not going with those

the offsets on the HP's are kinda whack (like +40,45 something like that) so you may want to take that into account (along with the other suggestions...

the Winnings are my all-time favorite wheel (in g-metal) and if I had $3K for a set of wheels and tires right now, I'd be all over them like a hobo on a ham sandwich...

bwzabodyn,

that was a concern of mine. the HP's are actually +35 all around. according to a fact sheet from Nissan the stock 17's for the base are 7.5F with a +30 ofst and 8.0R with a +33 ofst. if this is correct and according to the rim calculator the HP's would stick out
8mil F and 17mil R beyond stock. the rest of the rim would be in the well.

FYI...dont' burn me for this...it's from another forum...but good facts.

your opinions have been great!
