i'd like to know this as well. I was looking at some cross drilled / slotted rotors. mainly for HARD everyday driving/track days will they crack?

eric... you won't have anything to worry about... you won't be getting the brakes hot enough or stressing the rotors enough to induce cracking... enjoy the look of your drilled rotors

u4ia... for track events you should avoid cross-drilled rotors... you will be heating them up and stressing them enough to crack them. Slotted are a better alternative, offer good outgassing and almost never crack

Hope that helps,

PeteH

you always have a chance of drilled rotors cracking, but a few track events from time to time probably won't hurt them... now, one track event a month where you are really cooking the brakes, that WILL kill the rotors!
