Front tire reinbursement from Nissan.
I got one the other day to take care of the feathering issue. I sent mine off and hope I will get reinbursed. Anybody else get this and what did you do?
I am scheduled to have my fronts replaced. I got the tire switch last year and now about 6k miles later, the other side is now roaring even worse.
I asked if they could do this all in one trip but they said that first (to meet Nissan's requirements) they have to take the car in, and measure the tread a certain way to confirm it is feathered enough to warrant the new tires (trust me, it is really LOUD, it BETTER meet their spec!). Then after they do this, they have to order the tires. WHO KNOWS how long this will take. Then I have to bring it back in for them to put them on and do another alignment with the latest specs.

I faxed the info on the cost of the new tires and they said that they would send me a check. I guess we will see what happens in a few weeks.
NNA reimbursed me for two sets of S03 fronts, I faxed them proof of ownership (VIN) and receipts from Tire Rack for the tires (OEM size 18") and they sent me a check, it took about three weeks, I called NNA and worked with a lady there that took care of my request, it went very smooth - good luck

Hard to say - - RE040's only lasted 11K, about the same for the S03's - - at least that was before the latest alignment, I've had three, I was wearing out fronts in about 11-12K while the rears only lasted 10K at most - - my commute is about 65 miles a day, mostly highway - - the new alignment seems to have finally slowed down the wear and no signs of feathering (yet) - - I'm convinced the front and rear toe on my Z was the reason for the wear issues but NNA would only reimburse for the fronts - - the S03's are far superior to the RE040's especially in the rain, and dry handling is improved too.
