Default Slip Indicator

Just took my Z in for first service. On my way home, when accelerating hard in 4th gear, the slip indicator came on and killed power. Straight, dry road. It didn't happen on the shift to 4th. It was about mid way throught the RPM range. It happened 3 different times. What's going on???

Make sure that the 225 tires are on the front and the 235 tires are on the back. My dealer accidentally put 235s in the front and back (long story) and it caused the same problem.

Mine does that crap all the time. Never found a solution, and obviously (cause of the speed) dealer cannot replicate. grrr.

I know I can turn off traction control and eliminate the symptoms. I'm more concerned with what is causing it. Tires and wheels are stock and this happens on straight dry pavement in 4th gear. There is no actual slipping occurring. Is something in the electrical system (ECU) screwed up? Have I got some crossover in the wiring?

sounds like you got the wrong sized tires homie... if the overall size of your wheel+tire is too small, the car will think that the wheels are spinning...

tell us the wheel and tire dimensions...

you have stock wheels and tires???? oops then?
I'm changing my answer then.... I think funkdamonkman's suggestion is most likely.
