Angry 1/2 a day.....

1/2 a day. That is exactly how long my wheels stay clean. It pisses me off to no end! I have a track model and the Brembos genereate a huge amount of dust. When I switched to 19 inch wheels the problem seemde to get even worse.

I wash my wheels and go for a 15 minute drive and come back home. Already there is a fine layer of brakedust that noticeably clouds the silver finish of my TE 37s.
This is old news as I have had my Z for almost 2 years, but I think I have taken the last straw. I have already changed my pads once and regret not having gone with a low dust pad.

what do you guys think of EBC greenstuff. I know its lower dust, but is the performance still there?
I want to cut down on dust but not if it affects performance! what is the best pad for what I have in mind?

Do you use Zaino? I have the same brakes and wheels as you but mine aren't nearly as bad as what you describe.

Zaino minimizes the dust and what dust remains washes off pretty easily.

Don't get me wrong, I get it too. Just not as bad as you describe.

Someone on this board has said the EBC Green Stuff is pretty bad stuff. It emits little to no dust, but when driven hard, it like melts or something.
I say you should try Endless street pads or Hawk stuff. I'm sure others will chime in later too.

Hawk HPS (not the Hawk Plus's)

Low dust, great performance, and very affordable.

2nd vote for Hawk HPS. I was looking for somewhat less dust but was pleasantly suprised to see the difference is dramatic.

3rd vote for the Hawk HPS. It leaves such a thin coat of dust on the wheels, you can safely use a swiffer wipe to remove dust between washes.

Many people have called the EBC Greenstuff's Rotor-eaters.
