Damn boards ate my post!

Here it is again.

I'm having a really difficult time finding a tire I want for Solo II. I have used the Nitto NT-555 RII on my Camaro and really enjoyed it. I would really love to get a set for the Z but the sizes offered are not even close.

All they offer in an 18" is 285/35 ZR18. I don't like the idea of going down 10 on the profile and I don't think a 285 will fit on the front. Even if it did I'm sure the tread pattern would bow.

I don't even see the VictoRacer V700 listed in an 18".

In the Ecsta V700 the closest size is 265/35-18 and 225/40-18. I don't like that there is a big change in profile and stagger. The stagger worries me the most about the whole thing.

What are you guys with Track Models doing for rubber?

thats a good question. Seems the best thing to do it keep your street tires on the track rims, and then buy some 17" light weight wheels since there are better tires in the 17 size category.

Performance model.

I too noticed limited choices.

Running the Ecsta V700 265/35-18 on all four wheels. Using stock size wheels (18x8 all around for Performance version).

I drive 35-40 miles each way to and from the events, and have not had any issues with VDC. I autoX with VDC off, so haven't had any issues there either.
