SSR GT3's.. After seeing that picture of the red one earlier. I just hope that the wheels fill out the wheel well enough. They're 19x8.5 in front and 19x10 in back... Offset out front is +37mm and offset in back is +41mm. I am using 245x40x19 tires in front and 275x35x19 in back in Bridgestone S-03's... The total cost including shipping was 3466 dollars. Unfortunately the 19x8.5's are out of stock right now (they only have 1 wheel) so the whole shipment won't come in for another 3 weeks. It's almost as bad as waiting for the car!! . I just hope they fit properly!!

Shouldnt you have gone with 245/40/19 and 265/40/19 to keep the diameters similar to stock. Now your diameters are almost the same, but in stock form the rears are fairly larger in diameter.

265/40/19 is way off compared to the stock tire size. It's almost a half inch bigger in diameter than the stock 245/45/18's

275/35/19 is almost a perfect match.

Now 245/40/19 is definitely too big (in diameter) IMO. The proper size should have been 245/35/19 to stay as close to the stock diameter as possible.

The difference (ratio) between the front and rear tires is not what should be considered when plus sizing in this application. The difference between the stock size of the tire and the upsized tire in the front and the rear respectiviely is what needs to be addressed.

When I get my car, and if I decide to plus size to 19's, I'll be running 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. If you have the 17's then these 19 inch sizes are as close as you're going to get to the stock diameters.

Dlovetsur... Apparently you're right. I might have to look into that. However, I was trying to maintain as much of the stock ride as possible, and didn't want to drop from a 45 on my 18 to a 35 on the 19's. The difference between the 245x35x19 and the 245x40x19's are about .5 inches of sidewall...The calculator says about 2% overall change in circumference. I am figuring it won't really do any bad... Anyone wanna disagree?

Your car will be slower, and your speedometer won't be accurate. The bigger you go in circumference, the more power it takes to make the wheels rotate. A 2% difference might not seem like a lot now, but you'll definitely notice the difference once you mount them up.

The ride will be a little stiffer with the 35's, but not that much. I have 35's on my Prelude right now, and before this I had 40's. The sizes (35's) which we have discussed in the 19" range actually have more sidewall than the 215/40/17 I used to have on my Prelude and I never had a problem with harshness whatsoever......this is also on a lowered suspension.

I'd look into it if I were you.

Ride quality is the main barier between me and 19" wheels (well, who am I kidding, price too). But those 19" Rays are to die for, but your saying that 35s won't be much worse than the stock 45s?

Just be aware you're going wider and taller in front and you may have clearance problems. I believe the 245/35 19 is the better choice.
You asked for opinons thats mine. Did your dealer have a 350Z fitment listed or did he just guess on offset? I wonder if they have a 10.5 for rear and a 9 for front listed. Let us know how they fit.

Redlinez... the only problem I would be concerned with is possible rubbing. I gave them that fitment... I bought the wheels from Tirerack, they're on order and will be in in about 3-4 weeks from Japan. I can change the tires out still if I want, I have several weeks still . So you say the difference between 40's and 35's on the sidewall isn't much (in terms of a harsher ride)?

On another note, I am wondering if anyone has had any experience w/ the tire pressure monitors. I'm wondering if I can remount them, and if there is a certain type of wheel w/ a certain valve stem area that I need to use the sensor.

No, I'm not saying that 35's won't be much worse than the stock 45's. It will definitely be noticable, but not as bad as a lot of people think it will be. I'm used to riding on thin 35's and it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, the 19" sizes that we mentioned (35 series) will actually be an improvement over what I've been riding on for over 3 years. There's actually more side wall on a 245/35/19 than there is on a 215/40/17 which is what I originally had on my car until I upgraded to 18's this summer.

I'd steer clear of potholes no matter what size tire I had.

I agree about the tire sizes, go with 35's if you are going 19's. And I agree that a 8.5 and a 10 are the way to go. What I am concerned about is the offset. I saw that going that width you should go with like a 25mm offset to make the wheels flush. I would check into that if I were you. Also, are you going to lower the car????

Definitely post pictures of your wheels when they are available. I love to see cars on wheels, even the stock chrome wheels look nice. I have a couple of sets of the 18" and 17" stock wheels, after being chromed.

We are working on the Track wheels as well, should have them in a couple of weeks.

If you are interested in chrome stock wheels let me know. They are available now, and only take a few days to ship.

I am also a little worried about the offsets on the SSR wheels. I know they won't sit completely flush but hopefully they will be pretty close. From that picture that was shown of the red one I can't really tell, it looks like the wheel fills out the wheel well better than the stock wheels but the SSR's still don't seem to go to the edge as much. However, a 37mm and 30mm 8.5 fitment (the LE-37T's w/ the lip are a 30mm fitment on the Z in 8.5's) has a different of barely a 1/4 inch... And I don't plan on lowering my Z, it's already rough enough stock, any lower and I'll get headaches riding it.

Actually, the 245/35/19 has less sidewall. 85.75mm to be exact vs. 86mm for the 17's. Remember 35/40 are percentages of the width of the tire. So 35's with a 245 width = .35 x 245mm= 85.75mm tire height.

Hey guys, I went with 255 / 35 / 20 tires on mine. I think the 35s work well, and I have not had any problems with them. I have driven 3,400 miles on the wheels and tires so far without issues.
