Default 17" SSR Comp H + tires

Fronts=17X8.5, +31mm, Rears=17X9.5, +35mm.

Tires are Sumitomo HTRZII's 275/40 17 and 245/45 17

These were my DD and track wheels for ~8 years until I prepped my car for STU. They have since been my DD/road-trip wheels. When I was closer to stock ride height and alignment, these were a nice improvement over the stock look. (and a LOT lighter) Now that I'm lowered and running some camber, I want something that fills up the fender's better.

The bad: I learned to mount tires with these wheels and they look like it. I mounted 2 to 3 sets of tires on them per year and racked up a lot of scratches. Also had a hairline crack on the inner lip of one wheel professionally repaired a few years ago. Because of the aggressive camber and toe I run for STU, the front tires have some extra wear on the inside.

The good: Asking only $700 for the wheels AND tires together. Although the wheels are wider than the stock 17's and can hold wider tires, they are much lighter than any stock Z wheel. ~16lbs each.

I would prefer local pickup, but I will ship at buyer's expense.

Bump 4 you any problems with vdc or traction control with the tires being almost the same height? Or was it a non issue?

I don't have VDC or traction control, but the ABS was ok with it when I ran 275's all around on these wheels.

I'll take $500 plus shipping for the wheels only.....after I get back from ZdayZ. (I need these for the trip and don't want to shop for a new daily wheel/tire package with a long road trip less than two weeks away.)

Oh, and the fronts are just under 16lbs each and the rears are just over 16lbs each.

How is clearance behind the OEM brembo's or the 06-08 brakes?

-Not getting auto updates. Sorry for the delayed response.

I have the smallest brakes ever used on a 350Z (stock, 05 base model brakes) but there is a lot of room. I will probably put them on the Z tomorrow as I get it ready for the road trip. I will try to get a good pic of the clearance on the brakes I have.
