Default Need help on choosing headlights for black 350..

Ok so Im tired of dealing with and hunting private sellers and parts yards for OEM replacement lights. That either want $$$$ or just too dam lazy to even complete the sale/arrange a meeting.

Im just going to get cheap after markets and call it good. I know they'll leak, not be OEM, but Im not paying $$$ for used OEM lights, beg for people to actually follow through with the sale, and this is mostly a weekend/track car. I just want the lights to look pretty and pass DOT requirements. Hell if it wasn't for DOT Id leave them open for the turbo housing and intake inlet

But, Im stuck between what I want and what will go with my black Z.

I LOVE the LED black/black lights on red/white/silver 350's.

But I feel like on black 350's the OEM chrome actually helps accent and break up the car a little. But if the black LED's don't look bad black all the way!

Here are the 3 lights im debating. But what I cant decide is will the all blacks be too black for my 350? I see them on other black 350's and it almost doesn't look right but those LED units are awesome. What do you guys think?

OEM Replica Chrome -

OEM Replica Blk/Chm -

LED Blk/Blk -

Chrome -

And this is like the closest thing I can find to blk/LED light on a black Z.. Not many people seem to do it.

If you decided not to go OEM - get all black DEPO 06 headlights
I vote for black on black)))

Have you checked out this thread? https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...-many-pix.html

If you're into a little DIY, you can do some pretty cool stuff.

The DEPO is the cheaper alternative to OEM, but the function and looks are pretty close compared to the other brands out there. The projector lens with the DEPO is not quite as good and a lot of people put in the STI-R lens for better output.

Check this out for a DIY on the swap if you go 06+ headlights: https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...lkthrough.html

I am.... But Im also re-building up the entire front end of this Z. I don't want to keep stacking my plate higher and get ahead of my self.

Also Im trying to keep this rebuild under or around $10 - $12k after turbo kit. So far I'm on budget.

Chromes are also $200 cheaper. So I def wanna make sure if I go blk/blk its ganna look dam good. Not worse for more $$ lol

Im still learning towards those LED's tho.

You can always get the chrome if they're cheaper and then black them out yourself to save some $$$.

Went with the DT motos at the bottom.

Really happy with them. Not going to say they are the "cleanest" head lights I've ever bought but they aren't as bad or cheap as some people led on.

I get a lot of compliments on them. Especially on the LED light bar on the side.

Overall they work and look great. I'm happy with them. Might not win a OEM contest but it's the look I was going for and enough to keep my street legal.

Looks better in person as well, even more so when the car is actually clean which is never since it's black.

My OEM's were trashed by from all the other cars and bikes I've owned with similar HID's it's not far off. Some haze but again not to the point people had me to believe before buying them.

That said I haven't dialed them into adjustment yet. I'm still sorting the car out and
prepping for the FI kit install and parts I've got in order.
