Left speakers going in and out. Need help/advice...
Folks,
It's been a long time since I've been on the forum so I trust everyone is doing well.
I've got a problem with my Bose stereo in my 2005 350Z and want to see if anyone else has had this experience. If I hit a bump, or make a quick turn, sometimes I lose audio to the left speakers. And I can travel over a bump again and it will come back. Or I can change discs in the cd changer and the left audio will return.
I'm guessing it's a loose connection. Anyone else have this happen and been able to fix it?
Thanks,
Bob in South Florida

I had the same issue and discovered it was a loose wire behind the Bose head unit. I got some electrical tape, taped it up well, and it's been working every since. Yours could be as simple as mine or more complicated, doesn't hurt to pull out the head unit and check the wiring in the back though.

It's a common problem with the Bose CD player. There are some posts here describing the problem. The fix seems to be replacing the H/U. I suppose it could be a loose wire since that would be fixed when swapping the H/U.
Let us know how you end up fixing this. --Spike

I have the same issue, but not the hitting a bump part. It just goes out and stays out for a while and at random start ups maybe a week later it comes back on and stays on maybe for a few days then goes out, it's annoying. I have an aftermarket system though, will be looking into it.

OK… So that’s different than Bob’s problem. Bob has a Bose H/U, which is notorious for losing the right or left speaker output, especially when playing CD’s.
You said: “I have an aftermarket system though, will be looking into it.” Your situation may not be helpful here.
