06 shift console in 05 car
I m upgrading the shift console in my 05 convertible automatic transmission equipped car to an 06 shift console and center console. I received the Shift console and its for a manual transmission. My question is will it be compatible with my automatic transmission car?

Two tricky parts to your question. Nissan did an interior upgrade as part of the mid-model refresh of the Z33 in '06. If the center console came from an early '06 Z, it should fit your '05, if not the waterfall IP will not be compatable. You should be able to see this for yourself.
The second part is whether you can adapt the shift console from a MT to an AT. Since the MT has a shifter boot vs. the AT shifter mechanism, I doubt this will be successful. On the other hand, I have never heard of anybody trying such a swap!

Since I already know you got the parts off of a Nismo 350Z (correct me if wrong) I don't think the shifter surround will work, plus the location of the hazard button in the manual surround weird for the auto. Just buy a new piece and hazard switch, should not be too expensive and you can sell the manual piece.

I got the 06 plus center console, 06 + automatic transmission shift bezel with climate controls and white box, and 06 + waterfall. The waterfall is in and the console is in but I am having difficulty installing the automatic transmission shift bezel. any suggestions?

I tried to do (nearly) the same thing, but on purpose. I bought the manual shift bezel for my 06 auto vert to give it a classier look, and (since my car was an 06) the hazard light wasn't an issue. The trouble was, the shifter assembly for the auto transmission is pretty tall, even when you remove the indicator plate, and the trim for the m/t bezel actually sinks down a bit, so the those two pieces collide. I've been debating whether to try *irreversibly* modding my car to make the pieces fit, like this:

Anyhow, I think that's probably the only way it would work, but I'm not sure how you'd tackle the hazard button issue :P
