Default Test Pipes rubbing on Frame?

Is anyone else experiencing what I think is my test pipes rubbing on frame?
It only happens when launching in first, and started after test pipe install.
Is this the Norm?

No Cat Brace it's the drivers side. I can definetly feel it on the floor board when I launch hard.
They are TopSpeed Resonated Test Pipes.

i know on my art pipes they used to rub on the heat shield along the firewall, and they required me trimming a bolt down....i would check those and maybe trying to adjust it some, and see about getting an engine damper to help minimize the engine rocking. i have the stillen one personally

I don't get rubbing, but I get like a slight knocking noise when the car is cold revving down under 3500 until 2000, but I believe it's like banging on the middle section on the y pipe. But it happened also when I put those exact test pipes on. Top speed resonated.

Are you running a non OEM header? I have the greddy 18g twins and my drivers side test pipe is an inch away from the chassis versus 2" on the passenger side. In my build I've installed 2 sets of flex hose and I may end up re-welding the test pipe.

Pictures to follow...

Sorry for the delayed response. The test pipes run very close to the frame. Original Headers, after the ordeal in getting test pipes installed I am very unsure about going with headers. I can feel it in first when I launch in the driver side. You think an Engine Dampener will help? I like the sound and performance of the car rite now but if I don't do a easy launch or a full out burn out the damn thing rubs and its bugging the heck out of me.

not going to hurt any, and to me (it may sound weird) but it seems torque-ier, because instead of rocking the engine it goes straight to the drivetrain

i could be way wrong, but that is my feeling of it

"i could be way wrong" lololol, love it XD

I suppose your theory could be possible, obviously not a huge increase, but it may have an effect on putting the power to the ground better..

It does keep the engine from rocking as much and might solve his problem

Update: Installed the Stillen Torque Dampener..
This is a very strange upgrade for me. My test pipes no longer rub..
I feel my engine thru my steering wheel now more so then ever...
My idle has smoothed out and is consistent.
I feel the power hits the pavement harder.

I know this all sounds strange its strange to me to... But it resolved my test pipes from rubbing which was my main goal.
The downside you feel engine vibration, nothing crazy, just noticeable.

Just throwing this out there, but how are your motor mounts? Have you checked to see if they look ok?

Motor Mounts are Okay, but will check up on them again. It has been a while. Normally you will get some engine knock when motor mounts are bad. I dont got that going on. Seriously though this Torque dampener works so official. You can see the logic when installed correctly.
