How to put window motor back together?
My window got stuck down today and will not go back up.
So I am trying to clean the motor before buying a new one. Now I can't put the window motor back into the spindle
How can I move the spindle so it's aligned with the motor?

Still not able to get it back in. I was able to if I disconnect the cable from the spindle and screw the window motor in, but then i'm not able to get the cable back in.
Whoever designed these motors was fuxking stupid

oldschool,
I cleaned my pass side about 15 months ago with CRC electonics cleaner. Has worked like a charm ever since. (06 w/68k). Followed the sticky for replacing window motor in this section. I believe you must reattach the cable, then focus on aligning parts.
If I remember correctly, you can do 1 of 2 things to align parts:
1) Since the window is free to move up and down apart from motor, raise or lower glass with one hand while trying to engage motor with other hand. When you get it right it should slide right in, and begin to fasten motor.
2) The opening for the peg is roughly the same size as a 3/8" ratchet driver. A 3" extension might help you raise/lower a bit to get aligned.
Good luck!

It worked in regards to getting it back in.
But the motor didn't even make a noise or try to work. It seems like my motor is shot. It was making some horrible sounds the last months and now it's rip.
I cleaned it very well too. But looks like I'll get a nee revised oem one for Xmas ..

I once tried to fix a window motor by replacing the brushes and I will tell you its useless! Just buy a lifetime warranty one from advance auto. The way you put the motor back into the spindle is by pulling the window all the way up and slowly putting it down until it fits. Now do the window reset so that the window can go all the way up & down and its done!

Oh, I forgot to tell you- I loaned the Z to my wife a week after the repair, she says, " It started to rain so I put the top up...but the passenger window wouldn't go up".
Now I'm biting my nails about the repair. Took me a few minutes to remember Nissan put a passenger window Lockout button on driver's armrest. My wife had pressed it, I hadn't noticed.
Make sure your window Lockout button is up, also, the window switches will not work unless both switches are plugged in. (learned the hard way).
Good luck, bro, and DEF read the STICKY on window repair in this section.

Thanks I read all of the sticky. A lot of people had the same results of their Windo motor still not working. I hear the relay click but nothing else like when the motor quit on me.
I double checked the window lock is off and the passenger one works. But that also sounds like it's going to go lol. I'll just lock it though so the passenger doesn't use it.
I hate these window motors! Such shitty quality

I replaced my pass window motor with an advance auto one. Its been 4 months with no problems. Even if I did it has lifetime warranty and Nissan's oem replacement doesn't.

Yeah that's true. Although I'd rather just use an oem one and have to only replace it once. Plus if I was to use a coupon code then exchange it, I have to pay the difference of original cost and my coupon.
Plus I don't know if I trust cardone. Seems like horrible quality, no offense.
I can get a revised new oem from from a dealer online for $170 no core charge or shipping.
