350z will not display Outside Temp on the Trip Computer
Hey all,
I just had a sound system put in the car yesterday and I noticed that the display where it reads your MPG, Digital MPH, etc, that the outside temperature is displaying "----" and it says ICY in the corner. Could have the technician forgotten to plug that piece in or do I need a reset? Everything else works fine it's just that I don't have my outside temp reading and that it is icy cold outside!
My car specs if it may help:
2007 350z Base Model
Best,
Justin

The only thing I could find was someone saying they disconnected their battery and it reset. There isn't a plug for that specific sensor where the radio goes as far as I can tell. The sensor is located in the front of the vehicle. There is always a possibility the tech cut the wrong wire, though.

Yeah, that is what I read. Granted - I didn't do too much searching, but that is a fix I read. I bet you can leave it undone for a couple hours and be just fine. No need to leave it over night.
