Default 2007 350Z GT Recall

Im new here and I just got a 07 350Z GT, 53000mi on it. I noticed that I hear a little rattling noise when the clutch is engaged when accelerating. Also there is a grinding noise going to 5th gear unless I shift to it smoothly slow. Ive been hearing from other members around here talking about trans recall for that year. Would I still be able to do it right now? Would appreciate any help.

You're way past the 3/36 overall warranty, and it sounds like you have two separate problems. One with the clutch and the other with the tranny. You can take it to a dealer and see if they can diagnose and cover the repair, but my feeling is no. Have you tried draining the tranny and refilling with 2 1/2 quarts of Redline MT85? That has helped sticky syncos in my experience.

Ive only had the car for more than a week, I was thinking of doing all the regular maintenance but Im still trying to look for a good ramp to do it I guess. I dont trust preowned car dealers when it comes to maintenance, they always go cheap. Hopefully my this doesnt get any worse cause trannys aint cheap.

Welcome to the forum and ownership and to be brief, no I think you'd be extremely lucky to get anything out of Nissan after all of this time. I agree with DKMura about changing your fluid but dodgy synchro's are a fairly common problem.

The only transmission recall was for the 2007 model within a certain VIN range, there is a sticky on this subject and it was for the CSC issue. The sticky should have the VIN ranges,
