Isnt' there extra weight in mechanical parts that would become useless after you disconnect the vdc? Would it be wise to look for those and remove them as well?

didnt hear it from me

From Drivers perspective it is closer to the driver then the shifter... just about rite under the ash tray...

you WILL have your VDC / SLIP light on all the time once this is unplugged...

you WILL have better steering response
you WILL have better throttle response
you WILL still have ABS
you WILL beable to spin the wheels and not have VDC kick back in...

Will disconnecting it override the brake fuse? (would you be able to do standing burnouts without pulling the fuse?)

i would think so since vdc is what makes it hard to to do without pulling that fuse.

The above is done at the user's own risk. With this modification done the user understands that all traction control will be fully disabled while retaining use of the ABS System. Jason & or Performance NISSAN is not responsible for the User loosing control of the vehicle due to the absence of the VDC & TCS system.

if you could cut a hole under where your ash tray goes, you could do this without removing the console...

I guess so, I havent driven a Base enough to see if the steering has a sliiiiight delay in it...

is this a bad idea since the VDC has saved my a$s before and also lost control with the VDC off....

Although I hear the car responds better for you rather than the car responding itself. The best motoring guys prefer the base over the other models

How would the steering have a delay?
The steering column goes directly to the steering gearbox pinion.
If the wheel is turned 45 degrees by the driver, the pinion is going to turn 45 degrees, the rack will then move accordingly. It's all mechanical from the hands to the end of the tie rods.

it feels like it... i know what you are saying... but it just feels like it...

the car just feels overall more responsive...

maybe it just keeps the brakes from controlling the turn?

How is it not 'completely' killed? When I turn my VDC/TCS off, to my knowledge I can my spin my wheels as freely as I want.
