I've had my popcharger installed for about 6 months now and no stalling, but there seems to be some consistency thoughout the threads on this is issue. I don't want to beat a dead horse but it seems to occur when, at speed, the car is put in neutral. What gundam02 said is true about the stall due to unrestricted air flow as I ran this issue by my friend who builds engines for the arca race circuit. He said that seemed like a very logical explaination.

Anywho also on a side note. I've also heard (recent thread) that adding a popcharger doesn't add any horsepower. The same goes for many other bolt-ons. Even when the computer is manually reset. This is becase the computer is self learning. It is set to run at certain specifications and realizes when changes have occurred. The computer adjusts the performance of the engine to compensate for any changes, so that base line performance is restored. Basically the computers are too smart. The only way to get around this issue is to bypass the computer and "trick" it. The popcharger only changes the sound not the hp.

Awwwwww, MAN! I seriously just (like 2 hours ago) ordered a JWT popcharger, and now I see this thread!! Fuuuuuuuuuudge.

One post on this thread said that when he stalled at highway speeds, he didn't have BRAKES? Is that right??? Holy Shucks, if that's possible, I ain't even installing the mother eff-er.

My idle is normal. And tjhands go ahead and install it you won't regret it. The people that seem to be having problems are really few and far between. You're always going to hear more complaints than compliments on forums like this. The complaints you see I highly doubt are proportionate to those who have had no problems. The no brakes happens when the car shuts off. All of your power options (stearing, brake assist, etc.) turn off. If this happens pump your brakes and you'll stop.

Thanks guys. I'm sure that the people who've had trouble with stalling are in the distinct minority or else they wouldn't be selling them. But it's a little worrying nonetheless. So, does it make a turbo-like sound when you rev the engine or shift and the air is sucked in quickly?
Speaking of, have you guys watched that video on this website with the kid in the turbo RX-7 filming himself chasing and racing the 350z? I love the sound of the turbos when he shifts, but it was an unfair race from the get-go. He really does spank the hell out of the Z-car, though. It takes about 10 minutes to download, but it's worth a look.

1)you shouldn't be in neutral at high speeds, other than to change gears, which would only be for a few seconds at most

2) if for some odd reason you are going a high speed when the transmission is in neutral and you stall, put the transmission in gear and engage the clutch, the car will start back up again.

I have had a pop charger for the last 4k miles, no problems.
