Default Question...

Questions for you guys/gals...

Have any of you gotten an insurance quote yet?? I'm curious as to how much it would cost to cover the Z.

Thanks in advance.

Chris,

There are so many variables involved with insurance quotes, your best bet to find out what it will cost you is to contact your insurance company. Driving records, deductibles, coverage limits, etc.

My insurance is going to go up about $20 a month. I am 30, married, clean record. I go through State Farm and they actually already list the car in their system with all the different trim levels.

.......... then again, maybe someone will post their insurance quote here, and quite possibly you will exactly match that persons profile, and you will get your answer.

Of course, I could be all wet here. I now realize that you may not be trying to find out what it will cost you , but maybe you are just curious what it will cost everyone else.

I had some trouble when I called my insurance company, AAA of Southern California. They didn't have the Nissan 350Z on record, so I had to choose a similar vehicle. I told them to look up the S2000, because it's a convertible and it should be comparable (I think S2000 may be more).

In the end, I am happy. My total cost is going down by $20.

I'm a little worried to find out. 21/female/no accidents/one speeding ticket (1-10 over) NJ car insurance is probably the worst in the country...lol...Seriously though, I'm paying over 200/month for an eclipse! I hate Jersey, I'm moving!

Jill,

Don't feel bad....I got quoted 3,888 for my Bimmer coupe. I'm 25, no accidents, no speeding tickets...clean all around. I shopped around and got it down to 2,100. Now, I definitely see a Z in my future, but I don't think I'll be able to make that happen this year.
The reason for the post was to get an idea of what I'm looking at
insurance-wise for next year.

I agree with you on the part of having to leave the state to afford the Z
Jersey sucks!!

This car will not be cheap on insurance for those that are younger...

* 2 seater
* High HP
* Reputation/Fairly inexpensive price (this makes it more accesible to younger people giving it a bad reputation)
On the up side, I'm sure the "code" will be low. My Beamer has a code of "23", my wife's Camry "12". So I ask the agent and she said its because Beamers are expensive to fix and Camrys aint.

I'm sure the 350z will be closer to the Toyota code-wise than the BMW.

Thumbs up Insurance quote

I recieved an insurance qoute from my company Progressive recently. For 300,000/500,000 liability, collision and comprehensive with 500 deductable they told me it would be $502 for 6 months. This averages to about $ 84.83 per month. I have never had a speeding ticket or accident in 40 years of driving. This $7 under what I am Paying for my 1998 3000GT.

Using the VIN I posted on another thread, I called 21st century and got a quote of $755/6months. (I'm 28, single, clean record, live in CA)
