Check your brake fluid level. When the level gets down to around the minumum line, the SLIP and VDC lights will be illuminated.

??? When the brake fluid is low the Brake light comes on. If the SLIP and VDC lights come on together, you have somehow managed to trip a VDC code... though I'm not sure why a test pipe swap would do this, but in my case my car started doing the same thing after I put lambo doors on... so go figure.

In my case the VDC, SLIP, and Brake lights were all coming on and staying. The master tech told me after fixing the problem it was two issues... low brake fluid (Brake light) and VDC code (VDC and SLIP lights).

I did have to disconnect the steering and the wheel got turned and locked so I had to put the key in the ignition to get the wheels straight again. Also just went to lunch and twice when I started the car the lights didn't come on right away and when turning out of the parking lot the vdc kicked on and applied brake and the slip light started blinking but after a second or 2 both came on solid again. so does the steering wheel have a sensor on it?

exactly what mine did... would not come on right away, but inevitably something would happen and both the VCD & SLIP would stay lit at the same time. Tech sad a code tripped for the traction control and reset it. My brake light would come on and off also, not always with the VDC & SLIP... that was simply because my fluid was low.

Simple fix, but Nissan will charge you for the diagnostic and reseting the code

You may not have to pay... mine happened right after we put the lambo doors on, but my car has also been dropped. They actually reset the code when they re-did my camber. Probably charged me because I was not riding on stock equipment anymore...
