Default Override the auto-down window on door open?

Anyone know if it is possible to disable this feature for a bit? Otherwise window tinting will be a real PIA.....

Thanks in advance

i think he means after tint is on, it might bind the film as it automatically opens...

my suggestion is to pull the fuse for 3 days immediately after the tint is put on..

Window tinters should make house calls like doctors.

Wait.

Nevermind.

I'm living in the past.

1) It'll probably be fine, lots of cars do this. Just tell whoever is doing the tinting that the car has this feature, and see if they suggest doing anything special.

2) Pull the fuse for the power windows. No power = no upperdowner. Be warned that that fuse may control other "nice features" inside the car, but probably not too much.

I want my Z, too - but some of the posts on here have people stressing out waaaaay too much about little things, considering the car doesn't exist yet....

Default Over reacting?

I wouldn't say that I was overreacting.......cancelling an order because of the external antenna is overreacting.

I just know that some places ask you not to roll down the windows for a couple days after the tint is applied. I was curious about the adverse effects of the window dropping everytime in or out of the car and I was looking for feedback from some of the beamer owners..... I'm sure someone has seen it.

You could
1) get the passenger window tinted first.
2) wait 2 days for the tint to dry
3) tint the driver side
4) crawl in through the passenger side for 2 days.

now that's serious ghetto style. Hmm you could also remove the front windshield and crawl thru the front for a couple of days. just be sure not to hit the fuzzy dice or carpeted dashboard. Oh yeah, it would also suck if you knocked over your 40 of OE from the front cup holder. Hmm in that case you may be better off to just just yank the fuse.

Can someone explains to me what this auto window thing is? I saw it one of the videos, and I think I missed the thread where that was discussed.. Just tell me what basically happens please.

and taking out the power window fuse is the easiest thing one can do to solve this problem for tinting purposes..
