Today must be 350Z day for me. I followed a DB for about a mile going south on 101 from Belmont to Redwood City. Checked my dealer's inventory when I got to work and my number XXXXX5632 pops up. My dealer still doesn't have a clue, but the frustration level is coming down quickly as I bustle around getting my finances together. Zisme promised me the car by 11/11 - may well make it!!

Great news Pooh!

If it doesn't arrive soon, pack up and come to Richmond. We'll find you a Z!

Default Hang in there Guys....

I pre-ordered January 11 and received mine September 11. And let me tell you, the wait is worth it!

Just wanted to pop in with an update - I found VIN #5850 listed on my dealership's online inventory today. My VIN is #5642 and isn't listed in the inventory yet. Do you think somebody at NNA is toying with me on purpose?

These posts really surprise me. Not that you are frustrated but that you are still waiting for your Z's.
.50, we're definitely on the same page. Crazy isn't it? Ah well, it's almost Z Day. Then all will be forgotten and forgiven.

Sorry you must wait, but you'll forget all about it once your Z is here. This car is so incredible, it gets better every day, you'll have a blast with your Z and the hype will be back!
While I agree that the car is awesome and the wait is certainly worth it. I can't nullify the wait. It was one of the most painful things I have ever done! And the fact that there's no rhyme nor reason to the delivery process made it even worse.

But, for those still waiting keep the enthusiasm alive. Trust, a lot of us know what you're going through. I want you to get your cars just as bad as you do!

I should get mine this week. My vin is a T and #2898. I would have had a Z in Sept. I originaly ordered in Jan. but i decided I did not want PPW and went with Daytona Blue. Changed my order in June. It was OK cause I was layed off and figured with a delayed delivery i would have more time to get a new job, which I did do.

But It has been even longer than that for me and a lot of other peeps too. I new i was going to get one a year and a half ago when i first saw the concept car, the Le Mans one. I have not lost the hype in myself.
I hear it's worth the wait. I guess I'll find out in a few days, or so.

I really feel for those guys waiting for 10 months.... I was told a late oct. - nov. delivery date and it came in on the Oct. 30th. I ordered on June 23rd with a vin right smack in middle of the production run of ~7K cars. I had problems waiting the 5 months... shoot 10 months? I would be peeing in my pants in anticipation.

For those still waiting, I think it's worth it. Knowing that you went through the procedure and the wait still gives your purchase some internal satisfaction; plus a good story to tell (only 7 thousand of us can tell it too).

So yeah, I love my Z. I just wish I could find a garage that would give it a home (right now it's sitting outside because my stupid garage is too tiny & narrow to fit). My neighbor who has a new porche carrera offered his second spot in his two-car garage so I think it will have a good home soon.

throbbing_Zon will finally have a Z this week? That's great news! Looking forward to hearing that it's safely parked in front of your home in a few days.

I know what you mean about waiting since the Sonic Orange concept car. I did the same thing... I just knew I'd have one, no matter what. But if we're going to play by those rules, I've been waiting for my Ferrari for ten years, and it still isn't here! Never mind that I haven't ordered it yet...

For me, as expected.

I would just assume January so you don't get your hopes up too high. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Guys here are some "truths"...I get tired of reading.."the dealer sucks" when the dealer has NOTHING to do with delivery.

This is Nissan first try at "pre-order"...doesn't seem to complicated since you can go into any Ford, or domestice dealer and order what you want...

With Nissan, the Japanes assmbly plants are like their own corporatation. NNA submits the order, and the plant decides how, when and IF they will build it.
There were some tensions recently when the plant decided to cancel some orders...NNA say " you can't do that those are Pre-ordered cars...." So those cars got bumped to later production months. The initial product launch was for August, Sept. and Oct. production months....all for Pre-order allocations. I was allocated 4 cars initally, we pre-sold 3, and was granted 2 additional Pre-sell cars. I did not assign customers to those cars, so they were to be built at Nissans discretion at some point in Oct. production.

My first car from the pre-order, unsold allocation arrived yesterday, a few days behind schedule. A customers car got bumped due to the variation, and that car won;t be here until December. THE DEALER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!

Moslty it is the plant in Japan, not NNA, ESPECIALLY NOT THE DEALERS!!

I have charged MSRP on my cars...from the get go....I have 7 un-sold cars coming in..1 on the ground.

The dealers are the ones that will get hurt, customers will blast them on the survey when the dealer has ZERO control on production or final delivery.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I ordered on Jan. 15. Delivered Oct. 26.

It's worth the wait.
