I have just purchased a 350z Track and was told by the dealer that it was more important to vary the revs than to lung the car in a high gear. Within my first week I have done 2000 km's and the car is running like a dream. Taken it over 5000 rpm a couple of times but haven't yet red lined it. Just had it's initial check up and came back with a clean bill of health.

:-)

I use to commute from Irvine, CA to Torrance, CA. Now it is a commute from Irvine, CA to Burbank, CA. It's about 45-55 miles each way plus misc. driving in the area during work, like lunch, trip to costco, etc. So it is roughly 100-120 a day, roundtrip. Today however was worse, because I had to go from Irvine to Torrance to Burbank and then back down to Long Beach and then Irvine so it was something like 160 miles. In some ways I wish the Z was a bit more comfortable. It is fun to drive, however in the rain, with traffic and the long distances, my back is killing me.
