Your cars kick serious ***!

Well look forward to seeing you there, don't judge the 350Z at least by my performance, this is my first time trying this so we'll see how it goes, should be fun.

westpak, also please remind your guys that if they have never participated in an AutoX before, they need to attend the Speed Trial School Saturday afternoon at 4PM to run on Sunday.

I'm going to be there for sure, but i'm going to run the regular autox event on saturday. I'll be in a 95 silver camaro with 17 inch konig monsoon wheels. I'm definately going to go up to you guys and take a close look at the Z! If you don't mind, of course. Oh, btw, my name is JJ, just in case. See you guys there!

I know I have to get one, I guess tonight or tomorrow. Do yo uknow if they have any clothing requirements? Like at Moroso you have to have long pants to run the 1/4 mile.

Another question, does the helmet have to be a Car Racing Helmet or can it be a motorcycle helmet?

I guess two questions, can you use an open face helmet or does it have to be full face?

No a motorcycle helmet is fine. Mine is a motorcycle helmet. But if you get more serious about tracking your car, a few more serious organizations require a certified auto racing helmet.

Also open face or closed face is at your discretion. Most people have a closed face helmet, but they run with the visor up. Personally I have a closed face because I just feel its safer and I run with my visor down. I hate the glare of the sun being in my face. But it does get hot in there.

It's medium. I have a black one with a SpectraBlue visor. I personally stickered it up with Mugen Honda stickers all over.

Oh and westpak, you also may want to bring a couple of bottles of water. No vending machines out there.

Thanks, I was planning on a cooler with drinks, but should I bring food as well or is there time to step out for lunch?

Cool... Beer is good. Make sure to bring a pack of Samuel Adams.

Yeah, there will be a break in between runs for us to grab lunch.

Maybe the beer after the autox.

It looks like it will be three of us tomorrow and at least 2 of us Sunday, so we will see how we do.

Any plans for tomorrow night?

Well thanks, it was good meeting you, and I agree the AutoX was fun, I just wish there was more time to run, too much time sitting around waiting and not enough driving, but it did get me hooked. Nice Camaro by the way, sounded really nice and loud but hope you get the Z you will love it.

You guys never made it back yesterday... We had an awesome time. My friend in his 01 S2000 Black came in first in our class and I took 4th.

Sorry, I emailed you yesterday to let you know, it was a long day and I was beat and couldn't make myself wake up at 5am again and do the 90 mile drive back, plus they didn't have the class and they were not going to let us do it at first and then Larry said OK but we had to go last and by ourselves.

That being said, the afternoon runs were a lot of fun, I am going to get another set of tires so I can do better but for the first time I think the car did very well considering it was my first time doing this type of thing. The next thing I want is to tsee if we can organize the same thing but with fewer cars so we get a longer time running. Maybe we can do an S2000/350Z autoX, start thinking about it.
