Cool

Thanks Pat! I think I'll print this out and take it to my dealer this week.

BTW, I noticed that the replacement part is from Clarion. Is ANYTHING in this car from Bose other than their name?

You know what's really sad? When you send your MISERABLE dealer not only a PDF, but a fax as well of this TSB and they won't move on it until they can download the update themselves!

P.S. to my dealer... YOU SUCK! YOU REALLY F**KING SUCK!!!

Last Friday I FAXed the bulletin to my dealer's service department. When I called in the afternoon I was told that the guy I normally deal with was out for the day so they wouldn't order the amp till he got back on Monday. I called the salesman to see if I could get some help from him and was told that not only would I have to wait till Monday but that I would have to demonstrate the problem to them before they ordered the amp. I was very pissed with this response. Another example of lack of service after the sale. Today I got the call from my service guy and he said he went ahead and ordered it. Thank God someone down there has a brain. I think it was the idea that they didn't trust my judgement about a shitty amp that pissed me off the most

Thanks AudioPat for the PDF and info. I faxed it to my dealer and they were happy to be enlightened. They ordered the amp no questions asked. Just had it replaced. It did the trick.

Thumbs up

Well, I stopped by my dealer today and showed them the TSB. They were very nice and said they would go ahead and order it. Then he figured he should at least do what the TSB said to do and after just sitting in the car and hearing the radio (mostly the subwoofer when the settings are set to 0,0!), that was all he needed. Hopefully it will come in soon!

I believe the "Audio Pilot" circuitry is only used in the 'upgraded' Bose found in the Touring models. It is the sub-amp that is being replaced..this amp doesn't exist on non Touring Zs.

Also, the non-Touring models don't have the BOSE stereo, just Clarion. Of course I'm still not certain what if anything is actually BOSE in the Touring model.....
