Default Installing new headlight bulbs

The owner's manual says that you should take it to a dealer ...BUT also says you can replace them from inside the hood without removing the headlight assembly.

Can anyone explain the best method to replace the headlight bulbs??

You have to get to the headlight housing from the front wheelwells. It is easiest if you take off the wheel, so you can move the fender liner out of the way. Here's a thread that I used when I changed out my bulbs for silverstars: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=55808

Good Luck! It was actually really easy

Quick question....The moderator who posted in that link didn't mention removing the wheels...Is that really necessary??

the only way i know of replaceing the headlight bulb is to remove the whole housing...if you are talking about only the parking bulb, you can do that without removing the housing by going through the fender protector.
removing the wheel is not necessary but will make things easier.

Yeah, whole bumper and headlight housing has to be removed to replace the headlight bulbs. I did it like 3 times, and couldn't find any other way to do it.

You don't have to remove the wheel, it just gives you more room to work if you do. (and a good reason to clean off all that brake dust in the inner wheel area). Once you remove the fender liner the headlight is behind a gray plastic cap ( circular) about the size of a cd, maybe a little smaller. It has a directional arrow on it. Just unscrew it, it pops right off. The headlight bulb is right there. Just unhook the spring retainer and carefully pull the bulb out. It is a lot smaller that I imagined ( the Bulb). You don't have to remove the bumper or anything to change the bulb! Hope this helps!
